Watch the Lady Gaga Video Piano Tutorial For Free!
Keeping Your Focus On Piano Playing

Hi,

1. In the past two weeks I decided to create two great piano tutorials for you. Piano Play It has more the 6,000 from all over the world and their age is varies so I decided I'm going to create one tutorial of a very famous singer at the moment and one that's classic.

The idea to create the Lady Gaga Poker Face Video Tutorial came to me after watching the Glee version that was made of the song. To take such a simple song and create such a fascinating piano version stimulated me to create a nice piano tutorial of that version specifically. And so here we are :)

Click here to watch the Lady Gaga Poker Face Video Tutorial (Based on the Glee Version).

You'll find there a printable piano tab that will help you out understanding what might seem confusing during the piano tutorial...

2. After finishing the Lady Gaga Poker Face Video Tutorial (Which took quite some time...) I decided to go for a simple one for beginners and as you know I love to find songs everybody loves.

This time it was Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. Most of my students have this fantasy to play thid song on piano and sing it. Now it can be done within one piano lesson (It's really very simple!)

The only thing I'd like you to pay attention to is the 6/8 rhythm in the song. It's important to experiment with different musical meters and Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen gives you the opportunity to do that.

Click here to watch the Hallelujah Piano Tutorial and print out the piano tab!

3. For those of you who enjoy hearing about my journey, making my new album I decided to post my second blog where I also share a number from my album called "Going Far Away" (Lalechet Rachok in Hebrew). I'd love to hear what you think about it!

Click here to watch My 2nd Post Blog and listen to the song "Going Far Away"!

Attached below are the lyrics in English as translated by Ron Freilich (One of the students in Piano-Play-It who did a wonderful job translating the song for me...)

Going Far Away (David Yzhaki)

Written dark memories
On yellow diary sheets
By that quirky little boy
Giving up all his dreams
Wishes go unfulfilled
Like an unwanted toy

The anger it burns him
Deep from within
To see the light he awaits
Somewhere in his hiding place
Looking to find himself

But he will not fall
He will say it all
Grow strong and hold on
Lock all this anger away in a box
Take a deep breath and move on

Open his heart
The pain clearing out
Create a family of his own
Changes his ways
And learns to create
Happy sounds of pure joy

Chorus:

Yesterday is far away
Tomorrow is all I see
And today is looking good to me
I know how to cry and forgive
Rise again with the will to live
Find the strength I need
To close this chapter

And I know

Yesterday is far away
Tomorrow is all I see
And today is looking good to me
I know how to cry and forgive
Rise again with the will to live
Find the strength I need
To close this chapter
And go far away

All shades and all colors
They passed us by
Memories new and old
We've grown up together
Kicked away all the anger
Off that old diary

And that little boy
He looks at me now
And his blinded by the light
I reach out my hand
Please don't be afraid
I promise, We'll never go back

Repeat Chorus...

I hope you enjoyed this E-zine. Continue creating great music and good luck in becoming fantastic piano players!

Yours David
