Coordination and dexterity
by: Ido from www.piano-play-it.com

Hi Chris,

Coordination is the most difficult skill of the piano.
I think that everyone can achieve a good level of coordination. It is a matter of practice, the more you practice - the better you get.
As in any other field, talent can help to achieve good results faster, but from my experience as a piano teacher I have seen average students that have became very good pianists due to their continued and intensive practice.

If you practice constantly everyday - one hour a day on various exercises for piano techniques, you will soon find that you have made much progress and improved your playing.

I must say that it takes years, so it is better if you do your exercises, but apart from this, play pieces and songs which you love and meet your level so that you can enjoy the music while you are playing. You can enjoy our piano tutorials, there are lots of them.

Don't forget; playing music is not just a goal, it is also one of the most fun and joyful things in life...

I hope that I have helped you,
Ido from www.piano-play-it.com

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
