Left Hand Finger Placements
by: TRYDER

Thank-You for the reply. Although I do understand the 1st half of your comment, I just would like to see for example, the left-hand chord charts. Hope that this is also included with the update of the site. I will keep an eye out for this change.

Thanks again!

Left Hand Finger Placements

Hi Tryder,

First of all thanks for the compliment. It is always nice to get positive feedback from our readers!

There are two main positions for the left hand in the piano sheets for beginners.

The first position is when the two thumbs are placed on the middle C. Click here to practice the middle C position.

The second position is when the thumb of the right hand is placed on the middle C, and the fifth finger (the pinky) of the left hand is placed on the C which is one octave lower than the middle C.
Click here to practice the second position.

I encourage you to figure out how to place the hands by yourself by reading the notes. I know that this is not at all easy sometimes , but practice makes perfect!

However, we are creating now a special book which shows the position of the hands in each of the pieces. We shall update our website as soon as it is ready, and I recommend you to check our website when it is ready.

Meanwhile, don't hesitate to ask us about a specific hand position if you're not sure about it.

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
