Looking for book-- How To Play Piano by EAR!
by: Ido from www.piano-play-it.com

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for your compliments.

We (at www.piano-play-it.com) think that it is better for a beginner to learn playing the piano and to acquire various skills before learning to read the notes.
There are various methods for learning to play the piano by ear. Here are two which are recommended :

Schott Simon - Play Piano By Ear - Music Book

Rocket Piano Ultimate Piano Learning Kit.

However, it is inevitable to learn reading the notes too since 99% of the piano music is written in the classical system of two staffs- one for the right hand and one for the left one.
The main disadvantage of the method of playing piano by ear is that at the end of the course you can play songs, but if you get piano sheet music you may get completely lost.
We are currently working on a special course that allows you to play music without notes, but also gradually teaches you how to read piano sheet music. It is a step by step course in which you learn just one thing at a time, and of course, you will be able to get answers for your questions.

Stay in touch and I assure you will find it great for your needs.

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
