The Berkman-Shal-Tal families version of the Ellen DeGeneres Theme song!

by Assaf Otmy
(Modiin, Israel)

Hey everybody,

We sat on a saturday noon and I showed my family the funny video by David playing the Ellen DeGeneres show theme song.

Now my family loves Ellen DeGeneres and so we spontaniously decided to make our own version of it.

Here the names of the people who participated:

Idan Berkman - Guitar
Donnie Tal - Flute
Zehava Shal - Singing
Assaf Otmy (me) - Alt Flute
Nitza Tal - Behind Me (Singing and Cheer leading)
Neachama Berkman - Singing and Dancing (Like a Hippie)

And finally Or Otmy (My brother) - On a sort of a drum (And he's sort of playing in the wrong rhythm as well... :)

Anna Berkman, Idan's sister recorded the whole thing on her video camera.

We had to write the lyrics cause some of can't remember anything and since our English is so so it came out so funny as it did :)

At least we all do the YEAH YEAH part !! :)

When I showed David's video to my family I never imagined they would take it this far so this was a really good day.
I'm really proud to have such a joyful family.

So here's our familie's version in a free style...

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
