Multi- arc slurs
by: Ido from www.piano-play-it.com

Hi, this slur isn't as complicated as it looks.

It simply indicates a musical phrase that is played between the left and the right hand.
The music phrase here begins with the left hand which plays six notes and immediately after this comes just one note played with the right hand. The slur means that you are requested to play the whole phrase in a legato manner.

If your'e not sure what is a legato or you want to learn more about musical phrasing, click here.

There is also a common confusion between slurs and ties. You may find this article useful too.

I hope that I have helped you, and I am here to answer any questions you may have.
