Hi Sylvia,

I must say that this is the first time that I hear about such a problem. I had a student who was more than 180 cm (a girl) and she didn't have any problem.
However, I assume that it is a matter of body structure and the height of the piano.

I don't think that you have to worry when buying a real piano because you can ask the store to raise the piano by putting something under it. This should be done by a professional because a real piano is pretty heavy and it should stand straight.

Regarding the piano of your teacher, I really don't know how to solve this. Could she/he come to your place for the lessons?
