The Grand StaffHey! Great to see you here in this part of our piano lessons!
You'll find that learning to play the piano while reading notes both for the right hand and the left isn't that hard if you'll follow the instructions in this piano lesson. By now you should be able to read notes on the treble staff and on the bass staff seperately.
The grand staff is combined of these two staffs. The top staff is for the right hand and the left one is for left hand. The staff covers three sets of keys from A-G.
We don't have to study all the notes right now. I simply want to show you how this works in a layout. For now simply concentrate on the learning to read the notes stated with the letters. We will focus on read these notes in the next few piano lessons.
In the next free piano pieces I offer here, you can practice reading piano notes on the grand staff. Click here if you haven't signed to Piano Playground, our free E-zine yet make sure you do that in order to get the username and password codes for the piano sheets I provide here under.

My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks." Joshua White from U.S.A |
