It's easy to use this lovely song to learn to learn to play a common groove you could use in order to play many famous Christmas Carols. See the tutorial below and you'll see what I'm talking about.

We'll start with the chords of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and then I'll introduce you to the groove. We're going to learn to play a simple bass line, using the first and fifth degree of the chord. Clarifications about this here under.
