Years ago you asked me to send you free piano sheets from piano-play-it.com. Then I went quiet. Not for a week or a month: the last letter I sent you was in November 2014.

I am not going to invent a reason for that. The site kept teaching, hundreds of thousands of people a year, and the letters simply stopped.

I have been working on something all summer, and it is exactly the kind of thing I would have written to you about back then. So here it is.

Every Christmas carol on the site can now be heard and watched. You press play, and the key that is sounding lights up on a keyboard on your screen, with the finger number printed on it. A bracket above the keys shows where your hand belongs, and it slides when the hand has to move somewhere else. Nineteen carols, three levels of sheet music for each one, free, nothing to install:

And a small present, with nothing asked in return. Three carols written in finger numbers instead of notes, so that someone who never learned to read music can sit down tonight and play Silent Night:
