Does anybody know of a really good one that will help to find my way in this genre?

Alfred's Piano Basic Course, What Next?

I read on your website that you don't recommend the Alfred's method when they begin teaching chords.

What books do you recommend after the Complete Level 1? Is there a lesson book between it and Alfred's chord instructions book that I should buy? If not what book or books do you recommend to continue?
