Here's another piano tutorial of the song E.T. by Katy Perry which is perfect for beginners who wish to play just a few songs with a great pop groove.
If you need help with the form of the song simply print out the piano sheet under this piano tutorial and check it out...
What I love about this piano tutorial is the way the bass stays the same while the chord change. This is what we call a pedal point.
The sheet music here is free. There is no username, no password and nothing to sign up for. If you would like to know when new tutorials and sheets go up, join Piano Playground, our free newsletter. It is one email now and then, and nothing on this site depends on it.
This piano sheet of the song by Katy Perry ET will help to you to better understand whet I was playing the beginning of this piano tutorial.
Make sure you go slowly through the first bar to better understand how to practice this unique pop groove that requires some attention with the rhythm.
As we go to the chorus I suggest you first play the chord in blocks to practice moving from one chord to the other smoothly by keep and sticking to the correct fingerings as shown in the piano tutorial.
Instead of working on the whole song I suggest you divide it to parts and try to work on the first two bars, then continue to the next two bars and then try to connect all four bars. Continue this way until you cover the whole song.
Had fun? Great! You know, there's a way to explore more on how to play piano by chords.
It's great to imitate what you see on a video but you can learn how to form all possible
amazing piano chords and learn to play an enormous amount of different rhythms while
playing popular songs by artists like the Beatles, Adele, Bruno Mars, Leonard Cohen and more.
