The Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston - Piano Tutorial
Whitney Houston is one of my favorite singers. Her death wasn't a shock because of the way she lived her life but I'm still so sad for losing a singer that touched my heart deeply.
Therefore I decided to create this piano tutorial for one of her most popular and meaningful songs The Greatest Love of All. I also remember I saw an interview with her saying this was her favorite song.
I play the intro quite simply and show it slowly and then we only have to focus on learning a few interesting chords. Check out this piano tutorial and see for yourself.

Notice that the accompaniment of the intro in the left hand is based on playing the bass and fifth note going up and down.
as the intro starts we stick to this common pop groove: Both, Right-Left-Both, Right-Left.
We play the chords of the song between A under middle C and G# above it.
Notice that I try to play the chords smoothly and gentle as I can to give respect for this beautiful pop ballad.
Had fun? Great! You know, there's a way to explore more on how to play piano by chords. It's great to imitate what you see on a video but you can learn how to form all possible amazing piano chords and learn to play an enormous amount of different rhythms while playing popular songs by artists like the Beatles, Adele, Bruno Mars, Leonard Cohen and more.
