Tips for learning to play piano with both hands!
by: Ido Ronen from www.piano-play-it.com

Hi Aly,

Playing Piano with both hands The fact that you have been playing since you were a small child will help you a lot because your musical hearing is probably developed.

Playing with both hands is not so easy, but after teaching many students I'm positive everybody can make it.

It is only a matter of practicing it gradually and efficiently.
Read the answer for a similar question which was asked by John (He is also from the UK). You can also find there many exercises for practicing playing with both hands.

In the piano exercises page you can find exercises for many skills, such as playing the same patterns with both hands, or under the title of coordination , exercises that will help you to play different musical structure with both hands. There area also free videos available for these exercises.

Try dozens of our free piano sheets, which are ordered in three levels. Try to do as much as you can. This will teach your brain to develop independence for both hands.

Last tip: Playing with both hands is a process. Practice well, be patient, and in a few weeks you will feel an immense improvement.

Hope it helped you,
Ido.

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
