How much time you should practice according to your level
by: Anonymous

Well it depends what grade you are doing. My friends are grad 8 ish and they do 1 1/2 to an hour a day. What I would recommed is:
15-20 mins a day grades 1-3 with a little for leading up to exams:

30 min. a day for grades 4-5
45 for 6 and 7
1-1 1/2 hours plus for grade 8

I know people who do a lot more than that. It really depends how important it is for you and really how productive your practice
is- there is no point of doing 5 hours ofnothing useful!!

P.S always start with scales!!!

Practicing Daily is the Key to Success!
by: David from www.piano-play-it.com

Hey David,

It's much more handy to practice everyday for 20 minutes and to teach your body to play the piano daily and get used to the habbit of playing.

When you play once a week for an hour your body simply forgets what it just earned.

We work in a way that we learn something only when we repeat it over and over through a period of time...

Spoil yourself and give yourself 20 minutes a day to play the piano... You'll realize it will make your day worthy!

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
