Tutorial?
by: Anonymous

Hello, I was just wondering if you could possibly add a piano tutorial of the Eternal Sunshine theme? It's a great piece, and a few years back I stopped reading and started ear training, but overall I'm just a better visual learner! You don't need to simplify it for me, just show me! Thank you so much, I appreciate it.

Well, actualy I started to play only a week ago but this theme went straight to my heart since when I heard it first, so I thought I could ask how hard it is and how long should I practise and study to be able to play it. I also wanted to say BIG THANKS for You, David because this website already helped me SO MUCH! Also thanks for answering!

How to Tell how difficult a musical piece is?
by: David from www.piano-play-it.com

Hi,

that's a nice question really...

Well, all in all, I'd say this piece is not so diffucult since the shortes rhythmic measure is of an eight note.

However there are a few things that make this piece a challange.

To begin with you have to know how to play a triola.
That could be quite hard for beginners.
I'll post a free piano lesson on this issue shortly.

The other thing is that you have to perform jumps in the left hand from play the bass and the chord.
That demands quite some training as well if you're not skilled in it (However you don't have to perform the jumps so fast so I'll give it a try if I were you)

This piece has three Flats
So you'll have to remember them through the whole piece and to be used on playing in the Eb flat Scale

Bottom line? It's not that easy but I don't know on the other hand how good you are...
Why don't you try and if you have some question let me know and I'll try to help you out?

Hope I could help you with your question :)

Good luck with this beautiful musical theme!

"Thank you for your lessons. I took piano lessons as a kid, and I've dabbled off and on for years. My music teacher taught me how to read music and hit all the notes, but I never felt like I was playing for real. I always felt like I was going through the motions, like a machine. Your lessons have changed that, so thanks."

Joshua White from U.S.A
